Amazing picture. Can't have been that blue can it.

I start my photography course on Thursday at Glasgow Met. Will let you know how it goes.

I can honestly say that I have not changed any aspect of this picture that was taken on the Nokia rather than the Leica. It did not appear as blue at the time; perhaps you could ask on thecourse why it would appear bluer........

All the best with the course,I look forward to hearing about it in detail.

Hi Jonathan, Katie completed a City and Guilds Level 2 photography course last year, she really worked hard and achieved 3 distinctions. She has been asked to do the photography for two weddings this year.I don't know if you knew she did the front cover for Erasure Phantom Bride EP.
Happy New Year to you all.

Peter, I'd love to see more of Katie's photographs. Does she have a public photo site like flickr? Jonathan

Hi all, Happy New Year!!
I hope you and families are well?

I think the blue is probably due to the white balance, especially if taken on a phone, also snow is one of the hardest scenes to photograph has it confuses light readings and balance.

Great photos on this site.

Jonathan, good luck with the Photography course, keep us updated!

i havent got a website yet, but hope to have this year. Will let you know!

Catch up soon. Love Katie x

Hi Katie

Good to see you on the blog.
Thanks for the comment about the blue. I went on a digital photography course in the summer, but it was a bit too basic for me and did not cover the digital aspect, more the 'photography' aspect from a beginers aspect.
I was hoping to understand more about the white balance, which I have not been (knowlingly) familiar with.
Anyway, here is the same imagine in black and white.
Which do we prefer?
Cheers
Daniel

Hi Katie, Too bad you don't have a website yet. Any other ways of sharing your photos?

Dan, much prefer the B&W photo. Had my first photography session yesterday. Great fun. No messing about. He assumes we know all about white balance and such as well as photoshop. Will post my assignments on flickr. Katie that's http://www.flickr.com/photos/jonathanpatrick/ if you are interested.
